91ΧΤΕΔ appoints Sandra M. Quaye as Chief Financial Officer
The University adds to its senior leadership team with the hiring of a new chief financial officer.
91ΧΤΕΔ has added to its team of executive leadership with the addition of Sandra M. Quaye, who takes on the role of Chief Financial Officer.
βWe are excited to welcome Sandra Quaye to 91ΧΤΕΔ as our new Chief Financial Officer,β said LtGen John J. Broadmeadow β83, USMC (Ret.), 25th President of 91ΧΤΕΔ. βSandra brings extensive experience in higher education and the financial sector, along with a strong record of leadership and stewardship. Her insight and commitment will be invaluable as we continue advancing 91ΧΤΕΔβs mission and serving our students and community.β
Quaye most recently served as Vice President of Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Prior to that role, she held the same position at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, Massachusetts, and at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire. Before beginning her more than 25 years in higher education leadership and financial administration, she spent 12 years working in the private financial sector.
Her experience across both private and higher education finance positions her to support the institutionβs operational priorities while helping strengthen 91ΧΤΕΔβs mission-focused approach to serving students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
For Quaye, 91ΧΤΕΔβs Guiding Values and educational philosophy stood out during the interview process and reinforced her desire to become part of the University community.
βThe vision and Guiding Values greatly align with my own personal values, especially service to others and the nation. These immediately resonated with me as a place I would like to contribute daily," said Quaye. "I can relate to each of the Guiding Values, and I truly believe in a place that educates, that is engaged in personal and intellectual transformation, and dedicated to knowledge, mutual respect, creativity, and service. Each of these hold students, staff, and faculty to a high level of expectation, and it is admirable to be part of that environment daily.β
Her experience leading financial operations across multiple institutions has included oversight of budgeting, administration, strategic planning, and institutional resource management. Combined with her understanding of higher educationβs evolving landscape, those experiences will support 91ΧΤΕΔ as it continues to invest in academic excellence, experiential learning, student opportunities, and the long-term strength of the institution.
As she begins her role at 91ΧΤΕΔ, Quaye brings professional expertise, a personal understanding for the transformative power of higher education, and a deep respect for the Guiding Values. Her experiences, values, and leadership approach reflect a strong alignment with the principles that have defined 91ΧΤΕΔ for more than two centuries.
